Development of Ionic Water and Multi-Functional Skin Vibrating Water-Jet and Its Application to the Skin

Abstract

|
|
The purpose of this study was to develop the ionic water and its water-jet for the efficient skin care to establish a new skin care strategy. We developed the hydrogen ionic water (pH 3.5) and hydroxyl ionic water (pH 10) by ion exchange resin using the ionizing property of water. It was confirmed that the quality of ionic water (cleaning water) was clean and appropriate enough to be used for the skin care when compared to the drinking water. We also designed the electric circuit of the multi-functional skin vibrating water-jet. It is spray-type driven by changing the pressure of the compressed air in the range of 0~4.5 kg/cm2. The amount of compressed air can be controlled by air gun with low noise of 40.5 dB. When a female in her 50's was treated by ionic water for the care of acupoints, sweat glands, and pores using the water-jet around her nose and cheeks, the melanin pigments values have been decreased from 294 to 178 to have brighter skin. Another female in her 20's with asymmetric face got to have better balance in her skin muscles which used to be tilted as well as her pores shrinking to have smaller facial shape. Also, a female in her late 20's with purulent acne all over her face received clean water care twice and then most of the facial acne and the reddish tones in her face have disappeared. A female in her mid 30's with erythema of psoriasis (diagnosed from the hospital) has drunk 3 L of the drinking water every day for the treatment as well as receiving clean water care 10 times (twice a week) around her face, neck, arms, legs, back and belly and almost fully recovered. In conclusion, the new skin care using the newly developed ionic cleaning water and water-jet showed more rapid onset of action compared to the existing ones. It is considered that this new technique opened up a new way to the skin care.
